What’s Our

Mission?

To prevent caregiver burnout by providing resources to assist caregivers in serving others and increasing their quality of life.

Care for the Caring, inc. (NFP) is a nonprofit organization on a mission to put an end “caregiver burnout” to those who give most selflessly. To assist informal caregivers, we provide resources such as spa day, flower delivery, in home massage services, therapy, education in self-care and legal advice.

Caregiver burnout is very common. In the National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP Public Policy Institute survey, 40 percent of caregivers felt emotionally stressed, almost 20 percent said it caused financial problems, and about 20 percent felt physically strained.

“I believe in treating the entire family & caregiver….not just the patient.”

Meet Our Founder

I have always had a special place in my heart for caregivers. As an Occupational Therapist it is our practice to treat the entire family/caregiver and not just the patient.  Fast forward to my father being diagnosed with dementia, I watched my mother pour everything she had into him and neglect her own health. I was disappointed by the limited resources available for families who decided to care for their loved ones at home. After my dad passed in 2018 my mother suffered health issues from neglecting her health as a caregiver. That’s when I knew more had to be done for caregivers.
