These are my 3.3.3. self-care rules to live by when you’re feeling overwhelmed. We all know the damage stress has on our body so why not do something about it.
Here is a list of activities to recenter yourself no matter how much time you have.
3 minutes
Do not underestimate the power of a 3 min mental break has on the body. In 3 mins you are able slow down heartrate, increase oxygen to the brain, release a cry if you need, change your thought process and/or laugh historically
Play a favorite song
Say 30 things you’re grateful for start with the breath in your lungs
Complete a 3 min meditation
Slow deep breathing
3 hours
A 3-hour escape literally removes you from your current situation. Get lost in something that brings you nothing but peace and joy and don’t have any guilt about it.
Favorite movie
Play a sermon
Long bath
Reading your favorite book
A trip to the spa
Workout class
Go on a walk
Go out to lunch or a dinner
Clean out your car

Email therapist for an emergency session

Retreat IT IS!!! Pour into yourself but most importantly stay in the moment the entire time. Do not think about what you have to return to.
Matter-of-fact, don’t think past the current hour. Walk in the moment and be present!!
